About Me

I am a PhD student at Newcastle University, supervised by Dr. Srikanth Ramaswamy in the Neural Circuits Laboratory. My research focuses on how neuromodulation shapes continual learning in artificial neural networks. Specifically, we aim to enhance learning by investigating spiking neural networks (SNNs) with neural heterogeneity and incorporating cell-specific neuromodulatory effects. By considering these factors, our goal is to develop more efficient and adaptable artificial neural networks to overcome some of the current challenges in the field of AI.

I have a Physics background and completed a Master's project in Computational Neuroscience at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, developing an RL model to study dopamine's role in learning and motivation.
